2005 reunion of the original Rebel Rousers

Cliff Bennett In The 21st Century

The turn of the century saw no let up for Cliff with a new generation of fans enjoying his soulful music. Over the past few years he has toured with The Manfreds, Alan Price, Georgie Fame & The Blue Flames, Chip Hawkes, The Animals, Zoot Money, Dave Dee and Colin Blunstone to name but a few. He has also gained a new lease of life in Denmark where he is currently a regular fixture touring with Brian Poole and Danish 60's star Peter Belli. 2007 has seen Cliff touring with The New Amen Corner, Chris Andrews and a Joe Meek Fest in February which featured some of Joe Meek's biggest stars.

2001 saw Cliff release a brand new CD Loud and Clear with re-recordings of his old hits and several brand new songs. In 2005 the original Rebel Rousers got together for a reunion as pictured above.

Left to Right are Ben Jordan (Bass), Ricky Winters (Drums), Sid Phillips (Sax/Piano), Mick Currel (Guitar), Cliff Bennett, Mick Boarer (Guitar) with Alfie James (Drums) and Frank Allen (Bass) in the front row.

In 2006, Cliff was honoured to receive a call from Ian Gillan, lead singer of Deep Purple, inviting him to take part in his latest CD. Mr Gillan has always made it well known that Cliff was a huge influence very early on in his career and was particularly keen for him to take part on his "Gillan's Inn" album released that same year.
